I'm Sam Sullivan, and this is my personal website! I made this so I have a place that people can go to learn about me and what I do. And to bump my name up on Google's SEO :).

I've lived in the Seattle metro area my entire life. I love the PNW!

I'm a software engineer. I currently work at Silph Collect, a startup founded by Kasten Welsh to aggregate comprehensive data on Pokemon TCG cards. Right now I build machine learning models to make our application better. In my most recent project I built a fast, accurate, image based instance retreival pipeline for our catalog of over 100,000 Pokemon cards.

I graduated from University of Washington (UW) in June 2026 with a B.S. in both Mathematics and Computer Science. I started at UW as an accounting major in 2022, so my interests have evolved substantially over the last 4 years. I am still interested in tax strategy, markets, and finance in general.

Learning is something that happens whether or not you are in school. Right now I am learning about distributed systems, interactive learning algorithms, and serving infrastructure for traditional ML models. I love learning, working, and doing both concurrently.
